Review - LeMieux ProShell Overreach Boots (New Design)

After testing the LeMieux ProShell overreach boots a few months ago, which were a pretty cool new design in themselves, Horse Health have come up with an even better model which will be replacing the old style. I had struggled to find fault in my original pair (which are still going strong) so I was very interested to see what changes HH had made.

The first thing I noticed was that to the eye, the two different boots are virtually identical and it would be very difficult to find a difference between them. However on closer inspection the outer material seemed to be more flexible and had a slightly different feel to it which means that they would be even better out on the XC course. The outer material is completely waterproof and mud doesn't stick to it easily so much less washing!

The boots don't spin on any of my horses and have a nice cushioning area around the upper rim so stop any rubbing, and the lower rim is extremely strong and so far hasn't frayed or shown any signs of wear. They have been used almost every day since I have been back from Holiday: hacking, jumping, schooling etc and Leo has been wearing them in the field since he arrived, just in case he decides to get a little over excited, in the day and overnight with non stop rain and there is no wear and tear as of yet.

Sizing wise they are still exactly the same and I have medium on my 14h and 16.2h so they are really quite adjustable.

They still come in four colours: Black, brown, navy and white and are perfect for use in all disciplines; smart enough for dressage but sturdy enough for cross country!
